The Company

Our client is a well-established main contractor specialising in the delivery of high-end residential refurbishment and bespoke fit-out projects across Prime Central London. Their portfolio includes luxury houses, listed buildings, apartments, and complex refurbishment schemes valued from £500k to £2m+.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Carpentry-Based Working Foreman to join the team and oversee the delivery of prestigious residential projects.

The Role

Reporting to the Site Manager/Project Manager, the Working Foreman will play a key role in managing site operations while maintaining a hands-on approach where required. The successful candidate will come from a strong carpentry background and possess extensive experience delivering high-specification residential refurbishment projects.

You will be responsible for coordinating trades, maintaining quality standards, ensuring health and safety compliance, and driving programmes to achieve successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordination of carpentry and finishing trades throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct quality inspections and manage snagging processes.
  • Liaise with Site Managers, Project Managers, clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Assist with material scheduling, deliveries, and logistics.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Working Foreman, Finishing Foreman, or Site Foreman.
  • Trade-qualified carpenter with a strong carpentry/joinery background.
  • Strong understanding of luxury finishes and bespoke joinery installations.
  • Experience working within occupied properties and client-facing environments.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Valid CSCS Card.
  • SSSTS or SMSTS preferred.
