I'm looking for a Heritage Project Manager to join a specialist conservation contractor delivering works at Windsor Castle and other historic buildings. Initially, you'll spend three days a week at Windsor overseeing roofing and conservation works. The other two days will be spent across London projects, including heritage and high-end refurbishment schemes.

This isn't a role for somebody who wants to run a business. It's for somebody who wants to become part of one. The ideal background is most probably a carpenter by trade who moved into management, or a practical Project Manager with good common sense, heritage exposure and an appreciation that not every problem can be solved with more plasterboard.

Projects range from £600k upwards, but the complexity is considerably greater than the contract value suggests. Medieval timber structures, listed buildings, conservation requirements and stakeholders who take a keen interest in preserving centuries of history.

Long term, the plan is to build a dedicated heritage team around this division. If you've worked on listed buildings, enjoy being close to the detail and would rather spend your time preserving history than arguing over VE exercises, I'd be keen to speak with you. Feel free to get in touch if this sounds of interest.
