I'm working directly with a residential contractor who are looking to appoint a freelance Quantity Surveyor for a major residential development in Welwyn Garden City. This is an immediate requirement on a live £24m scheme. They already have a Commercial Manager in place and are looking for someone capable of coming in, getting up to speed quickly and taking ownership of the day-to-day commercial duties.

The Role

  • Working on a £24m residential development comprising approximately 100 units across two residential blocks
  • Reporting into the Commercial Manager
  • Managing valuations, variations, subcontractor accounts and commercial reporting
  • Identifying and maximising commercial opportunities across the project
  • Supporting cost control and financial performance through to project completion
  • Site-based role with close involvement in project delivery
  • Immediate start available
