I am working with one of the most respected contractors in the Super-Prime Residential and Heritage sector - a business known for delivering some of the UK’s finest private residences, listed buildings and luxury hospitality projects.
They are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team on a £25m+ (construction costs) estate development near Castle Cary, Somerset. The project itself is exceptional - a mixture of heritage refurbishment and high-spec new build across a large historic estate including:
- Restored barns and estate structures
- Hotel and hospitality elements
- Restaurants and accommodation
- Traditional construction alongside specialist finishes and crafts
Importantly, this is also a company that genuinely values its commercial team. You will be working alongside an established Senior QS and QS on a project that has only recently started, giving you the chance to become part of it properly rather than inheriting 18 months of buried problems and mysterious variation folders.
Responsibilities include:
- Valuations and final accounts
- Variations analysis and cost reporting
- Subcontractor management
High-end residential and/or heritage experience - must have strong commercial awareness without the ego.
