Assistant Site Manager / Site Manager | near Sloane Square | Super-prime residential Permanent: c£55,000 – £60,000 + travel paid (or can pay CIS equivalent day rate) Start ASAP 30-year-old contractor is currently carrying out a c£15m refurbishment project near Sloane Square, involving a six-storey residential dwelling with a basement and a lift The contractor has been on site for 18 months and there is 15/16 months remaining and the company is looking for an Assistant Site Manager / Site Manager to join the team of 3. Current stage: completing 1st fix electrics, setting out all cable routes, chasing, back boxes etc. This is a super-prime property with £4m of joinery, £2m of stone, expensive marble, fancy mosaics and stunning flooring. Whoever joins will play a vital role in the team and the delivery, so offers a great opportunity for someone looking to widen their experience. Duties: Oversee and manage a team of workers, with a maximum of 25 on-site, including subcontractors thus far. I work closely with the director, project manager, architect, structural engineer, designers, and quantity surveyor, participating in weekly meetings that often include other subcontractors. My daily responsibilities include enforcing project programs and deadlines, conducting risk management, coordinating trades, sourcing and ordering materials, and ensuring that health and safety standards are upheld. I maintain up-to-date paperwork, including weekly site reports, enforce site rules and policies, and ensure compliance with noise restrictions, and implement leadership skills to foster a productive work environment. I am also heavily involved in the costing of works, contributing to the project’s financial management and overall success.
