Small Works Manager – Super Prime Residential Basingstoke region (projects generally 1–1.5hrs away).

If you’ve ever:

  • Run a high-end residential project and thought, I’m already doing half the Contracts Manager’s job here
  • Coordinated multiple trades, consultants and a client who has just discovered reclaimed Belgian limestone on Instagram
  • Explained, diplomatically, that changing the staircase after second fix may have implications…you may be ready for this.

I’m working with a specialist contractor delivering super-prime residential projects up to £3m, looking for a Small Works Manager - essentially a step-up role into Contracts Management, overseeing two projects at a time. This isn’t aimed at a seasoned Contracts Manager. It’s much more likely to suit a Site Manager ready to step up, or someone with some multi-site exposure looking for more ownership.

You’ll be:

  • Overseeing two live projects
  • Supporting programming, procurement and delivery
  • Working with clients, architects and site teams
  • Keeping quality high and surprises to the manageable kind

The work is beautifully detailed, technically demanding, and - because it’s super-prime residential - occasionally influenced by ideas formed after a long weekend in Tuscany. High-end residential experience would be a big plus. Multi-site exposure helpful, not essential. If you’re ready to move from running a project to overseeing projects, this could be worth exploring.
