Long term freelance position with a salary of £250 - £300 CIS / LTD starting in January 2026.

Site Manager role for a traditional building contractor with an excellent reputation, allowing autonomy to deliver projects from start to finish without excessive red tape.

The contractor focuses on the delivery of construction projects ranging from £200k - £5m, including refurbishment, new build, and Cut and Carve.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Longevity experience as a Site Manager across varied sectors on projects up to £2m value.
  • Full site operations management experience.
  • Experience managing client and Principal Contractor relationships.

The contractor predominantly covers Healthcare projects, specifically standard NHS fitouts of Wards. Experience as a Site Manager within the Healthcare sector is essential, along with great attention to detail in design and managing M&E packages in a high-paced, fully operational live environment.

Responsibilities and client wish list for the Site Manager include:

  • CSCS card relevant to their position.
  • A construction-related degree, HNC/HND or NVQ Level 4 (highly desirable).
  • SMSTS or equivalent (highly desirable).
  • Sound understanding and experience in safety legislation and corporate safety procedures, including CDM.
  • Good management and communication skills.
  • Good operational planning and time management skills.
