I’m working with a smaller, established contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to take commercial responsibility across a varied portfolio of projects.

This is an all-round commercial role covering both pre and post-contract duties, with projects ranging from smaller works through to approximately £2m across commercial, public sector and residential refurbishment.

The Role

  • Preparing estimates and tender submissions
  • Procurement of subcontractors, labour, materials and plant
  • Commercial management of projects from tender through to final account
  • Preparing interim valuations and pricing variations
  • Managing project costs and protecting commercial margins
  • Working directly with clients and their representatives
  • Producing and agreeing profitable final accounts

  • Strong refurbishment experience
  • Comfortable with both estimating/pre-construction and project QS duties
