Quantity Surveyor | Residential Contractor | West London | Immediate Start
A growing developer-contractor is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to take commercial ownership of a major ÂŁ20m residential refurbishment in West London, before moving on to a pipeline of residential schemes across London.
You\âll play a central role in driving procurement, commercial management, and contractual control on a technically challenging project ideal for a QS who\âs confident operating independently, influencing design and delivery teams, and protecting commercial outcomes while working within a fast-paced developer environment.
This is a key hire for the business, suited to someone who can hit the ground running, communicate clearly, and bring structure to commercial processes from day one.
The Role
Lead procurement and letting of complex subcontract packages
Prepare tender enquiries, analyse returns, and issue subcontract orders
Manage subcontractor accounts through to final account
Prepare valuations, forecasts, CVRs and cost-to-complete reports
Maintain accurate commercial records and support project teams with contract compliance
Maintain oversight of prelims and ensure site records support supply chain challenges
Retain and update risk & opportunity schedules
Manage claim submissions and responses, protecting SDL\âs contractual entitlements
Take ownership for commercial delivery and financial performance across assigned projects
What they\âre looking for
Degreeâqualified Quantity Surveyor with 4+ years\â postâqualification experience
Strong track record on residential apartment schemes and refurbishment projects
Experience with Design & Build contracts (JCT)
Able to influence project and design teams to drive better commercial outcomes
Strong analytical, organisational and timeâmanagement skills
Confident drafting contractual letters, reports and commercially sensitive correspondence
Knowledge of bonds, warranties, guarantees, LOIs and common contractual mechanisms
