The building contractor takes on projects of varied nature, including healthcare, education, local authority, commercial, government buildings, and roofing contracts. The building contractor has always been known to have an excellent reputation, focusing on the delivery of construction projects ranging from £200k to £8m, including refurbishment and new build.

The Candidate

The candidate we are looking for is someone who can prove longevity and experience working as a Site Manager across varied sectors, on projects up to £8m value. The candidate would be responsible for full site operations, as well as managing client and Principal Contractor. They are looking for someone with roofing experience and someone who has been involved in working for a main contractor on education projects.

The Project

The contractor operating in and around Hampshire is carrying out several flat re-roofing schemes around £600k in contract value each.

Responsibilities of / client wish list for the Site Manager:

  • CSCS card (relevant to their position)
  • SMSTS or equivalent is highly desirable
  • First Aid
  • A construction-related degree, HNC/HND or NVQ Level 4 are highly desirable
  • Enhanced DBS
  • Sound understanding and experience in the application of safety legislation and corporate safety procedures, including CDM
  • Good management and communication skills
  • Good operational planning and time management skills
