I'm working with an established main contractor who are looking to strengthen their procurement team following the planned relocation of a long-serving Buyer. This is a key hire within the business. They already have a more junior Buyer in place and are looking for someone with enough experience to provide guidance and support whilst taking ownership of procurement activities across multiple projects.

The Role

  • Procurement of materials, plant and subcontract packages across residential and commercial projects
  • Obtaining and analysing supplier quotations
  • Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Working closely with commercial and operational teams to support project delivery
  • Assisting with supply chain management and procurement strategy
  • Supporting and mentoring a junior Buyer
  • Office-based in High Wycombe with some flexibility to work from home
