Join a well-established regional main contractor with a strong pipeline of residential and commercial projects. Due to continued workload and the need for immediate support, they are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor on either a permanent or freelance basis to join their close-knit commercial team.

The Role
- Taking commercial responsibility across live projects, reporting into the Commercial Director
- Supporting James, who also undertakes surveying duties
- Managing subcontractor accounts, valuations, variations and final accounts
- Completing project documentation and commercial handover paperwork
- Office-based in Brentwood with site visits, or site-based if preferred
Current Projects
- 33-unit residential scheme (£7m) - 6 weeks remaining before spend-stop in early September
- 95-unit residential phase due to commence immediately afterwards (18-month programme)
- £5m car showroom, Billingshurst, West Sussex
What they’re looking for
- Quantity Surveyor through to Senior Quantity Surveyor level
- Main contractor experience
- Able to take ownership of packages and keep pace on a live project
- Comfortable working within a small commercial team
- Available at short notice
