Project Manager (multi-site) – Offices near St Albans – D&B – Education projects – Immediate

This role requires a professional who understands pre-construction, client-facing delivery and occupied environment projects, managing 2–3 projects at a time from £500k‑£7m. These jobs can take several years to get to site, so the model is brief development, design management, cost planning, client buy‑in, momentum building, and then delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee projects from pre‑con through completion.
  • Manage 2–3 live projects at once.
  • Office based near St Albans – 2–3 days a week (must be London/Home Counties based and able to drive).
  • Most projects within a few hours of the office.
  • Update programmes weekly (SmartSheet – nothing overly bureaucratic).
  • Be out on the road, in front of clients, orchestrating delivery.
Backgrounds considered
  • Principal contractor PMs (D&B).
  • Construction Managers/Contracts Managers at subcontractor level looking to step up (specialist sectors – joinery, glass, balustrades, catering installation).
  • Architectural or design‑led backgrounds.
  • Education experience is a bonus.
Salary

This is a £60–75k role for the right person, and can pay PAYE, CIS or even Limited Company.
