Looking for your first step into the industry, but don’t know where to start? You might be Born Ready. This summer we’re running the fourth year of Born Ready - our trainee scheme designed to help people break into the social media industry without needing connections, experience or the “right” degree. Over the past three years, Born Ready trainees have gone on to land full-time roles at Born Social, building careers across production, influence, and social media management. Now we’re looking for the next two people to join them:
- One specialising in Content Creation (in Social Media Management)
- One specialising in Strategy

WHY BORN READY EXISTS
Breaking into the industry isn’t always easy. Too often, the path in relies on unpaid internships, connections, or very specific backgrounds. We don’t think that’s good enough. The scheme is designed to bring new and diverse talent into the industry at a grassroots level; people who live and breathe social culture but might not yet have had the opportunity to turn that into a career. Over 12 weeks, we’ll give you training, real experience, and a genuine insight into agency life, so that by the end, you’re truly Born Ready.

- You’re 18+ and looking for your first step into a career in marketing
- You get social; maybe you're already making TikToks, posting memes, running an account, or spotting trends before everyone else
- Your brain is bubbling with ideas about how brands could show up better on social
- You’re curious, creative and not afraid to try things out
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Our trainee scheme is built quite literally to get you ready for a job at Born Social. To help do that, you'll spend the 12 weeks in three different parts:
- Social-first School: you go through a brand-building bootcamp for the social era with our Strategists
- Department Rotation: you'll then swiftly work through a couple of days with each of our departments - getting to know the work they do and, more importantly, how they do it
- Specialism: from there you'll move into a six-week specialism in either Content Creation or Strategy, depending on your future ambitions. During this time you'll get to work on actual campaigns we’re delivering to clients and learn from the experts in your field
HOW TO APPLY
We want to see how you think about social - so show us. Using any social media platform (or platforms), your task is simple: TEACH US HOW TO MAKE TOAST. You can use TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, LinkedIn, X, Pinterest, or anything else you like. Make it funny, smart, weird, insightful, chaotic - whatever feels most you. No CVs please! We can’t wait to see what you come up with.
