We’re looking for an Account Director who is an Italian native to lead the local market social strategy and client relationship for Ford in Italy. You will work with our Italian clients (in their local language) to deliver our social strategy in their market, leading a small team of freelancers on the ground in Rome to build community, ideate, and create content, all rooted in Italian market knowledge and insights. You will also collaborate with the wider Ford Europe account team to identify opportunities and communicate the value of Born Social's work to your local market clients.
What you’ll be doing:
- Account leadership: Ensuring output for your market aligns with the overall social strategy and working with teams to execute against that strategy. Setting up teams effectively to support your pursuit of a higher standard of work. Inspiring your account teams to produce Born Social’s best work in all areas of delivery.
- Relationship development: As the main point of contact for your clients, you will foster collaborative, trusting, and constructive relationships that allow you to effectively identify and communicate the value of Born Social's work to Ford.
- Project management: Organising key calls, meetings (team and independent), and Quarterly Reviews. Recognising and resolving delivery or client issues or lack of results. Working alongside wider team members to review ways of working to ensure delivery feels positive for both clients and teams.
- Overseeing delivery: Working with local market freelancers in Rome to deliver social-first work that meets our strategy—supporting with briefing, quality control, and overseeing delivery.
- Local market visits: Regular visits to Rome (likely monthly) to build relationships and deliver our best work by spending time with clients and freelancers.
- Commercial management: Ensuring accurate delivery of scope of work (deliverables and time) using time tracking, maintaining high-quality deliverables, meeting deadlines, resolving scope or resourcing issues, leading on new resourcing requests, and reporting on commercial performance monthly.
Who we’re looking for:
- London-based Italian native who speaks fluent English
- 4+ years of experience in a Client Services role within an agency setting
- Passionate about improving client experience and relationship development
- Able to own and drive the quality of account output with a good understanding of social-first delivery (strategy, creative, media, management)
- Good understanding of project management principles and client services, with experience in developing this in others
- Proven track record of retaining, developing, and growing accounts
