This role has a starting rate of £12.75 per hour. Upon successful completion of the probation period you will receive an increase to £13.25 per hour and £50 in hotel vouchers.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver guest service to the highest standard for internal and external guests within the hotel at any time.
  • Ensure the company ethos is at the forefront of all work undertaken.
  • Be responsible for the section of service you are given and complete the work to the highest standard expected.
  • Ensure all guests receive a warm welcome and are treated to the utmost hospitality and care during their stay — we aim to provide an unforgettable experience.
  • Follow all hotel policies as outlined in the training manual.
  • Serve food and drinks quickly and efficiently, meeting our standards as set out for 5-star service.
  • Keep up to date with current promotions and new products through training and briefings.
  • Inform guests about promotions on our food and drink range through training and self-study.
  • Assist in any function or event set-ups in accordance with procedures.
  • Carry out work for any function or event as instructed by your line manager.
  • Maintain exemplary billing systems and obtain all payments from guests in accordance with company policy, and accurately account for and process all reception sales.
  • Observe and comply with cleaning rotas, health and safety, food and hygiene regulations.
  • Ensure high standards of financial and reporting diligence in accordance with company policy.
  • Present the company and yourself in a professional manner at all times while linked to Boringdon Hall.
  • Maintain the highest hygiene standards in your personal presentation and manner while linked to Boringdon Hall.
  • Ensure key legislation is complied with and followed.
  • Minimise and handle complaints professionally in accordance with our policies.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with all other departments and communicate information throughout the hotel.
  • Understand responsibilities in relation to Fire Procedures, Health and Safety, COSHH, Infection Control and Emergency Aid.
  • Perform all other duties as required.
