The Borgen Project is an international organization working to address global poverty by influencing U.S. and U.K. foreign policy. With 20 years of experience, it has supported legislation benefiting nearly 500 million people in developing countries.
This is a part-time, unpaid, remote programme of 12 hours per week for 12 weeks. Participants can work ahead to complete the programme sooner if needed.
The role includes:
- Creating a branding campaign
- Conducting focus groups and market research
- Pitching story ideas to media outlets
- Developing and implementing fundraising strategies
- Planning and marketing informational meetings
- Utilizing social media and web messaging strategies
- Supporting advocacy efforts
No prior experience is necessary; passion for fighting poverty is the main requirement. College credit may be available. Start dates are monthly, and applicants can choose their start month.
