Borders Buses have a rare and exciting opportunity for a skilled PSV/HGV Mechanic to join their team in Galashielsto help maintain our fleet and ensure we operate to the highest possible standards.
Main responsibilities include:
- Vehicle maintenance, servicing and repairs on the varied fleet, including MOT preparation
- Prompt repair of all defective vehicles to the highest standard in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Ensure vehicles are maintained in accordance with the Company’s Operator Licence
- The ability to organise daily workload, communicate effectively and work flexibly
- The ability to work to the highest health & safety standards
Job requirements:
Essential:
- You will have a qualification in PSV/HGV maintenance and repair to NVQ/SVQ Level 3 or international equivalent
- 2 years experience
- An understanding of DVSA compliance
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Full Category D PCV licence (if you don\’t have it, we can train you through our in-house training school)
