Role: SDR Manager
We’re looking for an experienced SDR Manager to lead and scale our SDR function at Borderless. This role exists to build the systems, team, and strategy needed to significantly increase pipeline generation and support our next phase of growth. You’ll take ownership of both inbound and outbound performance, develop a high‑performing team, and partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and RevOps to optimise our entire top‑of‑funnel engine. This is a high‑impact leadership role with clear goals: increase qualified demos, expand into new verticals, and build a scalable SDR engine that consistently drives revenue. This role requires working in the office 3 days per week. If this is not possible for you, please do not apply.
What Success Looks Like
- 6 Month Outcomes
- Significant growth in qualified, attended demos (from ~80/month → 200/month)
- Clear pipeline and revenue attribution from SDR function
- Successful penetration into new sectors (e.g. education, professional services)
- Improved conversion rates across the funnel (lead → opportunity)
- Reduce SDR ramp time (Inbound SDR ~1 month, Outbound SDR)
- Strong team retention and progression, with clear paths from SDR → AE
Top Priorities
- SDR enablement & leadership: hire, onboard, coach, and develop the team
- Inbound optimisation: partner with Marketing and RevOps to improve lead qualification and conversion
- Outbound strategy: build and execute a scalable outbound motion across sectors and geographies
First 90 Days
- 30 days: Understand current funnel, team performance, and tooling; begin coaching and identifying quick wins
- 60 days: Implement improvements to outbound sequences, qualification, and reporting; support hiring/ramping
- 90 days: Deliver measurable improvements in pipeline generation, conversion rates, and team performance
What You’ll Be Doing
- Team Leadership & Enablement
- Lead, coach, and scale a team of SDRs (6 → 10 by year end)
- Build a high‑performance culture and own hiring, onboarding, and progression pathways
- Pipeline & GTM Strategy
- Partner closely with GTM leadership to convert lead engine pipeline into qualified, sales‑ready opportunities
- Own the qualification layer – define and enforce criteria for what makes a lead ready for an AE, and continuously refine this with data
- Work with SDRs to build and execute outbound sequences that complement inbound demand, filling gaps across target verticals
- Performance & Optimisation
- Own KPIs (pipeline, conversion, SAT rates) and optimise funnel performance
- Identify bottlenecks, improve efficiency, and reduce ramp time
- Systems, Tooling & AI
- Work with RevOps to optimise CRM and sales tools (HubSpot, Outreach/Salesloft etc)
- Drive AI adoption across the SDR function team
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, and RevOps on ICP, messaging, and campaigns
- Improve inbound qualification and feed insights into GTM strategy
