As part of our 2030 Strategic Plan, Border to Coast is evolving to deliver Total Fund Solutions, integrating both advisory services and investment strategy implementation. We are actively developing this capability to provide comprehensive, customer focused solutions that enhance investment outcomes.
Due to expansion in this area we are now seeking a Portfolio Manager to join the Portfolio Solutions team who will specialise in the provision of expert investment strategy, asset allocation and multi-asset construction tailored to the evolving needs of our underlying pension fund customers.
About the role: Sitting within the Portfolio Solutions Group, this role is responsible for implementing Partner Funds' Strategic Asset Allocation across public and private markets, ensuring portfolios operate in line with agreed Investment Management Agreements and long-term objectives. Working closely with teams across the business, you will play a central role in translating investment strategy into portfolio outcomes ensuring portfolios remain aligned with Partner Fund investment beliefs and requirements.
The role spans all aspects of multi-asset portfolio implementation and oversight, including portfolio construction, rebalancing, cashflow management, liquidity oversight and the execution of Dynamic Asset Allocation decisions. You will contribute investment insights and strategic research to support portfolio positioning and long-term decision-making, while working collaboratively across the business to maintain strong governance, risk oversight and reporting standards.
A key part of the role will also involve engaging with Partner Funds through portfolio reviews, market outlook discussions and bespoke analytical work, helping to strengthen understanding of portfolio positioning and the drivers of long-term investment outcomes.
About You: We are seeking an experienced investment professional with a strong track record in multi-asset portfolio management, asset allocation and portfolio construction. You will bring a broad understanding of public and private market asset classes, strong analytical and quantitative skills, and the ability to translate complex investment concepts into clear and actionable insights.
To succeed in this role, you will thrive in a collaborative team environment, bring strong communication skills, and be motivated to build external relationships with underlying investors and local government pension committees.
