An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Customer Account Manager to join Border Group Ltd, based at our Woodlands depot near Longtown. Are you looking to build a long-term career in sales and account management within a fast-paced industry? We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Trainee Customer Account Manager to join our growing team, supporting the hire and sales of barriers across the UK.
Job Role
As a Trainee Customer Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing long-term, trusting relationships with new and existing clients, contributing to the success of the business by maximising sales opportunities and engaging with the services and products we offer to look after the accounts of our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the management of existing customer accounts.
- Responding to inbound enquiries for equipment hire and sales.
- Preparing and following up quotations.
- Coordinating with operations and logistics teams to ensure smooth deliveries.
- Building strong working relationships with contractors, site managers, and procurement teams.
- Identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell equipment.
- Maintaining accurate CRM records.
- Supporting senior Account Managers with larger projects and tenders.
Job Criteria
- Has an interest in sales or account management.
- Communicates clearly and professionally.
- Is enthusiastic, proactive, and ready to work as part of a team.
- Can manage time effectively and work safely under supervision.
- Is IT literate and comfortable learning internal systems.
- Full UK driving licence (desirable).
