We're looking for an Assistant Manager to join our team. You'll help run a busy, guest-focused site day to day alongside our General Manager. This is a hands-on role for someone who likes being on the floor, enjoys looking after guests and wants to keep growing their career in hospitality.
The role
Support the General Manager with daily operations and step up to run the site when they're away
Lead shifts with energy, and keep service smooth from the first coffee to the last cocktail
Manage reservations, table plans and covers on OpenTable so we seat as many guests as we can and every visit goes well
Train, coach and motivate the front-of-house and bar team
Keep standards high on coffee and cocktails: quality, consistency and presentation
Help with stock control, ordering, cash-up and rotas
Make sure health & safety, licensing and food hygiene standards are met on every shift
What we're looking for
Previous supervisory or assistant management experience in a restaurant, bar or café
Solid barista skills: you can pull a good espresso, steam milk properly and help train others to do the same
Good cocktail knowledge: you know the classics, can work a bar during service and care about getting the details right
Confident using OpenTable for reservations, floor plans and guest notes
A calm, organised leader who stays positive when it's busy
Great communication skills with guests and the team
Flexible to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays
What we offer £35,000 – £38,000 depending on experience
A friendly, supportive team in a great local spot
