Bordeaux & Burgundy, headquartered in New York, is a B2B SaaS, content-first marketing firm that specialises in building go-to-market engines for ambitious SaaS and technology brands. We help clients clarify positioning, understand audiences, and generate demand through content marketing and channel distribution. Our work has driven over $10bn in acquisitions, $2bn+ in pipeline, and thousands of new customers across Cybersecurity, FinServ and AI.
This senior, execution-led position is geared toward a marketer with deep experience in B2B Financial Services and content marketing. You will lead the strategy and delivery of clients’ content marketing solutions, owning content strategy, execution, and the overall go-to-market solution for fast-growing financial software brands. The role demands exceptional skill across multiple marketing disciplines, strong communication, an eye for detail, and the ability to thrive under ambitious targets and high pressure while managing multiple projects.
Location & Working Pattern: Fully remote initially; hybrid model likely to develop over time. Must be based in the Greater Manchester area for occasional in-person work with Manchester-based colleagues. Occasional client meetings and UK travel, with occasional international travel.
Before You Apply: We respect your time and expect candidates to match the following criteria. If any of these apply, the role may not be the right fit:
- Not based in or within commutable distance of Greater Manchester.
- No experience working in Financial Services (B2B and/or SaaS).
- Hands-on experience limited to one channel or discipline.
- Seeking detailed task lists or close day-to-day direction; the role requires autonomy.
- Finds project and system hygiene unimportant (tracking, documentation, coordination).
- Prefers strategy without execution; this role demands both.
- Uncomfortable presenting performance data, creating content collateral, adjusting ad creative in Figma, or supporting CRM and automation projects.
- Feels fast-moving agency environments are overwhelming rather than energising.
- Finds client-facing conversations intimidating or something to avoid.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead client marketing delivery (projects and calls).
- Own marketing plans for multiple B2B SaaS clients – mainly content marketing and channel distribution strategies and assets.
- Translate client business goals into actionable, multi-channel plans.
- Coordinate platform/discipline specialists while providing hands-on support as priorities demand.
- Maintain project systems and client databases with accuracy and care.
- Ideate and review paid media ads (mostly LinkedIn and Google).
- Write and review marketing copy (blogs, guides, ads, emails, landing pages, and more).
- Support CRM, automation, and other digital GTM initiatives.
- Build pitch decks and present ideas internally and externally.
Strategy and Optimisation:
- Review performance data and present insights.
- Recommend improvements across channels and campaigns.
- Consult on budgets, roadmaps, and priorities with GTM leads.
Agency Growth:
- Support new business pitches and proposals.
Client Relationship Management:
- Work directly with client stakeholders across communication channels and weekly calls – ensuring prompt and professional responses.
- Partner with the Head of Client Success on updates, approvals, priorities, and client relationship management.
- Build trusted, credible relationships through strong marketing judgement.
What You’ll Bring:
- 5+ years’ experience in a marketing agency managing a B2B Financial Services client or in-house B2B marketing at a Financial Services company.
- Strong understanding of paid media, content, automation, and creative production.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to spot risks and opportunities.
- Confidence presenting ideas, data, and recommendations.
- Comfort working autonomously and managing competing priorities.
- A bias toward execution, not just ideas.
- SaaS experience is strongly preferred.
Career Path:
- Head of Marketing / Content Marketing
- Marketing Manager
- Content Marketing Manager
- Campaign Manager
- Manager / Head of Brand and Communications
- Manager / Head of Growth Marketing
Tools & Platforms:
- Experience using AI in marketing scenarios.
- HubSpot, Salesforce, Attio or similar CRMs.
- Notion, Monday.com, and other project management tools.
- Figma.
Salary up to £50,000 per annum. Discretionary company and individual performance bonuses. Fully remote initially, with hybrid expected over time. Work-from-home equipment set-up support. Occasional UK and international travel.
Hiring Process:
- CV and application review.
- 15-minute screening call with a team member.
- 1-hour online interview with the Founder and Creative Director.
- 30-minute in-person interview (Manchester) with the Head of Client Success.
