The predicted salary is between 31500 - 38500 Β£ per year.

This is an exciting opportunity for a committed and highly motivated person to work for a leading flexible packaging company based in Strabane. Boran Mopack Ltd are seeking a proactive Accounts Administrator to support our Accounts department. The main duties will include providing support across both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, assisting with job costings and production-related financial analysis, and delivering general administrative support to the Finance Department and wider management team. This role is essential to ensuring accurate financial processing, effective cost control, and smooth administrative operations within a busy manufacturing environment. An ideal candidate is someone with a keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Updating and maintaining all records for purchase & sales ledgers, including entry and processing of supplier and customer invoices.
  • Supplier account reconciliations and resolve related queries.
  • Processing of supplier payments within agreed terms and on a timely basis.
  • Bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • VAT returns submissions and adherence to compliance procedures.
  • Preparing and submission of intrastat returns.
  • Debtors account maintenance and reporting.
  • Preparation of bank lodgements.
  • Updating internal data relating to sales, purchasing and finance departments.
  • Assist finance team with month end reporting with the provision of information and reports.
  • Maintaining the administration of in-house accounting functions for the business.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure all payments are processed accurately.
  • Other general admin duties requested by the company.

General Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain organised and accurate financial and administrative records.
  • Assist with filing, document control and general office administration.
  • Support the Finance Manager with audits, compliance checks and documentation requests.
  • Help coordinate internal communications, forms, and approvals for finance-related tasks.
  • Provide cover for other administrative and finance roles when necessary.

Support to Department Managers:

  • Provide financial reports, cost data and analysis as required by Production, Procurement, Sales and Logistics teams.
  • Support departments with invoice queries, coding of expenses, and budget tracking.
  • Assist with compiling operational data for meetings, KPIs and performance reviews.
  • Assist with calculating and reviewing job costings, including materials, labour and overhead allocation.
  • Monitor production costs and highlight variances to the Finance Manager and department managers.
  • Provide cost information to department managers to support operational decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with different departments.
  • At least 3 years of accounts experience (preferably manufacturing).
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Previous experience in SAGE.
  • IATI qualified or similar.
  • Good understanding and knowledge of accounting processes.
  • Strong organisational and numerical skills.
  • Ability to work to targets and deadlines.
  • The candidate must also have good work ethic, be able to work on their own initiative whilst also being able to integrate into a team.
