This is a full-time on-site role for an Estates Project Manager located in Edinburgh. The Estates Project Manager will be responsible for identifying and acquiring new sites for renewable energy projects, managing relationships with landowners and stakeholders, conducting due diligence, and negotiating contracts with agents and solicitors. The role will involve coordinating with internal teams to ensure project feasibility and compliance with regulations and corporate guidelines. Boralex is looking to grow its UK portfolio rapidly over the next 5 years with ambitions to become one of the UK's leading generators (top 5) of renewable energy, and intends to acquire projects through mergers & acquisition; therefore, land & property expertise will be required to interrogate and carry out full due diligence in relation to each transaction. The Manager will be expected to stay updated with market trends and advise on strategies to optimize each project's success.
Qualifications
- Experience in site identification and acquisition for renewable energy projects
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Ability to manage relationships with landowners, agents and solicitors as well as other stakeholders
- Knowledge of property legislation, regulatory requirements and compliance in the renewable energy sector
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- RICS qualified or willingness to work towards it
- Experience in the renewable energy industry is a plus
