The Opportunity
As a technical editor on our team, you’ll review and edit intelligence products for proper grammar, punctuation, syntax, as well as logic, clarity, and consistency. You will ensure that style and format conform to agency publication standards and that language presentation is consistent with appropriate style guides and specialized vocabulary of the subject matter. You will edit and review critical intelligence production, ensure proper classification markings and in-text citations are in accordance with IC guidance, and work directly with authors to revise products in a fast‑paced environment.
You Have
- Experience reviewing written intelligence products for grammar, punctuation, spelling, syntax and adherence to style guides with a high level of accuracy
- Knowledge of Community Authorized Classification and Control Markings
- Ability to work in a 24/7 environment
- TS/SCI clearance
- Associate's degree and 8+ years of experience with technical editing, Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience with technical editing, or Master's degree and 2+ years of experience with technical editing
Nice If You Have
- Experience working in a COCOM environment
- Experience with incorporating intelligence information into all-source research, analysis, and production
- Knowledge of the Intelligence Community (IC) and office-style guides
- Ability to communicate complex topics to audiences of varied backgrounds, levels, and comprehension
Clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
