Overview

In this role you design, develop, and run analytic wargames to help defense and intelligence clients explore courses of action and test assumptions. You manage the full wargame lifecycle—from framing the problem to producing decision-quality outputs—working with stakeholders across a range of mission sets. You will integrate insights from operational analysis, modeling and simulation, and subject-matter experts to deliver rigorous findings that inform strategy and leadership decisions. This role offers impact at scale, shaping game constructs and analytic outputs in a fast-paced, security-conscious environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute wargames and simulations from problem framing to post-exercise analysis
  • Coordinate with sponsors and stakeholders to align wargame constructs with objectives
  • Produce analytic assessments and decision-support outputs for strategy and policy
  • Manage timelines and deliverables in fast-paced environments
  • Facilitate scenario development, data collection, and analysis across diverse mission sets
  • Contribute to operations research and modeling and simulation efforts
  • Travel approximately 30% as required
  • Support intelligence-informed decision making through rigorous analytic findings

Key requirements

  • 4+ years in defense analysis, analytic wargaming, structured exercises, or formal research
  • Experience designing or supporting wargames, tabletop exercises, or simulations
  • Experience with DoD or interagency operations, processes, or stakeholders
  • Experience in operational planning, intelligence analysis, defense policy, or modeling and simulation
  • Experience producing analytic assessments, reports, and decision-support products
  • Ability to independently plan, conduct, and analyze research for wargame design
  • Ability to manage timelines and deliver analytic products in fast-paced environments
  • Top Secret clearance
