What you'll be doing
Wellness by Boots is looking for a Transformation Project Manager to lead critical change initiatives that improve how our business operates and delivers for customers. You'll drive end to end transformation projects, aligning people, processes and technology to create measurable impact, while ensuring delivery is on time, within scope and commercially effective. The role is a 12 Months fixed term contract based at Boots Support Office in Beeston, with some travel expected to stores and other business locations. The successful candidate will be working cross functionally with diverse teams, partnering the programme management team to deliver the Wellness programme ambition.
Key responsibilities
- The Project Manager will be part of the wider Wellness team, working closely with the Wellness Programme Manager and the Transformation Lead to ignite cross business transformation.
- You'll plan, manage and deliver projects that improve how our organisation operates.
- You will play a central role in coordinating and delivering projects that support strategic priorities across the business.
- Working closely with stakeholders, subject matter experts and senior leaders, you will ensure projects are clearly defined, well governed and delivered to scope, time and budget.
- You’ll own end to end delivery, developing the business case to planning, resource coordination, risk management, status reporting and benefits tracking.
- You’ll support the Programme Manager with portfolio governance and ensure the right processes and controls are in place to enable efficient, effective delivery.
Reporting into Category Development Manager - Wellness, you will:
- Lead the planning and delivery of allocated projects using best practice project management methods.
- Build strong relationships with cross functional teams to ensure alignment and engagement.
- Manage project plans, risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies and change control.
- Provide clear reporting to the Programme Manager and stakeholders.
- Remove blockers, resolve issues and elevate when required.
- Track project benefits and drive continuous improvement across ways of working.
What you’ll need to have (our must-haves)
- Project management experience - good knowledge and experience in project delivery within a retail or FMCG environment.
- Excellent “project delivery” track record in an operational, commercial or technical role.
- Hold to account cross business teams (commercial and technical) to drive business outcomes.
- Experience working in a fast paced, change driven organisation.
- Exposure to portfolio management or PMO environments.
- A project management qualification (e.g., APM, Prince2, AgilePM).
- Experience delivering technology enabled change.
