As an Optometrist at Boots, you’ll play a key role in delivering brilliant patient care – using the latest tech, working alongside experienced colleagues, and supporting your community with clinical excellence. Whether you're leading a clinic, responding to triage, or mentoring others, no two days are the same, and your growth never stops.

Key responsibilities:

  • Leading clinics and delivering outstanding patient care
  • Using the latest testing technology to assess eye health and provide expert advice
  • Providing enhanced services, from triage support to advanced assessments, depending on store needs
  • Offering clinical support to colleagues on the shop floor
  • Collaborating with external healthcare professionals
  • Keeping your clinical knowledge up to date and sharing it with others
  • Playing a key role in your store’s leadership team, bringing energy and insight to every shift

What you’ll need to have (our must-haves):

  • GOC registered (or expecting to be within 6 months)
  • NHS performer number (or working towards it)
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • A genuine interest in patient care and team collaboration

It would be great if you also have:

  • Experience supporting enhanced services
  • A strong understanding of local clinical networks

Join Our Team at Boots! Contract: Permanent Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Monday - Friday with alternative Saturdays Location: Tiverton Recruitment Partner: alex.larkin@boots.co.uk or 07815 010 102 You will be working alongside a close knit team who support our clinician within the practice. Ideally need to be accredited in Cataract services however the opportunity to support training in this.
