Welcome to the Boots Operations Development team - an exciting team at the heart of Boots UK's Central Operations Function. Our aim is to ensure that what we do is; Simpler for Stores, Better for Customers and More Value for Boots. We're focusing on efficient processes and smart technology investments to make our Team Members' jobs easier and drive improved KPIs across the whole of the Retail Operation.
About the role
As a Project Specialist you will be integral to the discovery phase of our exciting EPOS (Till software) replacement programme (Griffin), by supporting the Project team in building the initial scoping and requirements for this exciting transformational programme you will play a key role in enabling the organisation to move to the next stage of the project.
Key responsibilities
- Supporting the Subject Matter Expert(s) define new retail processes, helping to define and refine build requirements and driving an improved colleague experience across all aspects of the programme.
- Support the BAU team to work cross functionally with internal stakeholders to deliver a plan of simplification opportunities and process enhancements.
- Support and execute a readiness and communication plan to support the implementation of the changes with field and store teams.
- Support the project delivery, planning and tracking documentation and provide status updates to the project sponsors.
What you'll need to have
- A strong understanding of managing and operating different formats of Boots stores and a strong knowledge of store operational processes.
- Able to build relationships and work productively with a wide range of internal teams, confident in engaging, influencing, and delivering results together.
- Enthusiastic and excited to seek out new opportunities, power through problems and deliver the very best solutions for store teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and confidence in presenting to all work levels.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

- Project Management or Continuous Improvement methodology experience.
- Process Mapping experience.

- User acceptance testing experience.
