As a Summer Placement Programme student with Boots Ireland, you'll gain first-hand experience of life in community pharmacy. Working alongside experienced pharmacy professionals, you'll have the opportunity to put your university learning into practice while developing the skills and confidence needed for your future career.
With support from a dedicated tutor throughout the programme, you'll gain valuable insight into patient care, pharmacy services, and the important role community pharmacy plays in supporting local communities
You’ll have the opportunity to:
- Support customers with their healthcare and wellbeing needs in a community pharmacy setting.
- Work collaboratively with pharmacists and pharmacy colleagues to deliver outstanding customer care.
- Apply your academic knowledge to real-life pharmacy scenarios and build practical experience.
- Complete the Boots Healthcare Advisor Programme.
- Attend three dedicated training and development days at our Support Office.
- Receive ongoing coaching, mentorship and feedback from your dedicated placement tutor.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, combined with a keen interest in pharmacy.
- The ability to adapt, learn and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
