We’re embarking on an HR Transformation journey, modernising our technology to create a simpler, more seamless experience across Boots. Through our People Transformation programme, we'll improve our ways of working to make it easier to support colleagues through key moments in their careers while enabling better access to information and more effective support across the business.

This is a key role in ensuring successful delivery of the People Transformation programme. Forming part of the Business Architecture network across the programme, this role ensures that the processes for the Payroll & Absence workstream are designed and aligned to business objectives and deliver against the functional requirements. The role will input into and capture future state process design enabling the People Function teams to deliver efficiently.

This role will work with internal and external stakeholders across the People Transformation programme including inputting into change impacts, Op model design and testing.

Key responsibilities:

  • Working with Workstream Lead and SME’s, ensure the business processes for the workstream and module meet business requirements
  • Work with the Lead Business Architect to ensure the E2E processes meet the requirements of the ToM and provide any potential impacts to the People Function Taxonomy
  • Supports the Workstream Lead with process design decisions ensuring integrity within the design
  • Involvement in design workshops to ensure the business needs are identified and met, and change impacts are understood, identifying opportunities to remove process steps and implement process efficiencies ensuring standardisation and consistency
  • Document future state processes and review and input into design configuration workbooks so that SOP’s can be created
  • Provide relevant current state data and business process documentation where required
  • Ongoing engagement with wider Process Owner network, ensure continued awareness of potential impacts of the programme to the business and business change to the programme through
  • Work with the Lead Business Architect to identify any potential resource or SME gaps for the workstream, utilizing wider network to make recommendations on how to bridge the gaps
  • Working with Change Managers Input into Change Management Impact Assessment and learning needs assessments
  • Write and review test scenarios and test scripts for UAT
  • Work with Data Migration and Reporting & Insights workstream to ensure all requirements are captured
  • Support business wide programme engagement and training as required


What you’ll need to have:

  • Knowledge of Ireland Payroll including Boots Payroll processes
  • Ability to move between big picture and small detail over the duration of the project
  • Detail orientated
  • Ability to apply a user experience lens, keeping in mind user journey through process design
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills – able to across multiple stakeholder groups within the programme and function
  • Critical thinker, willing to positively challenge with a view for process improvement
  • Ability to operate to tight deadlines
  • Experience of BPMN or previous process mapping is desirable
