What you'll be doing

As Regulatory Advisor you will be joining a team of experienced and best in class Regulators in delivering regulatory insights and controls to ensure the compliance of new and existing Boots Own brand products, combined with Safety and Vigilance activities to protect both our customers and our reputation. You will report into the Regulatory Manager - Medical Devices and will use regulatory expertise, intelligence and technical information to maintain and deliver medical devices and licensed medicines portfolio for Boots. You will stay at the forefront of changing Regulation and work closely with a cross functional team to deliver and maintain a compelling and differentiated Boots brand range and input into relevant activation, marketing and service initiatives.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide regulatory guidance and support during new product development.
  • Obtain and review relevant due diligence documentation from suppliers to ensure regulatory compliance for UK and EU markets.
  • Work with the Project Team to prepare wording and compliant artwork for new products.
  • Manage regulatory change controls to ensure compliance.
  • Support Vigilance activities including preparation of Post Market Surveillance Reports.
  • Keep up to date with the current legislation/guidelines and share the knowledge with the team.

What you'll need to have (our must-haves)

  • Life Sciences degree or equivalent qualification/relevant experience.
  • At least 2 years' experience working in a relevant regulatory environment, preferably in EU Medical Devices, and a licensed medicine regulatory track record with UK and EU experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge.
  • Have a logical and enthusiastic approach to problem solving.
  • Desire to organise multiple priorities, adapt and work independently.
  • Passion to communicate complex technical information to wide stakeholder groups, in an effective and engaging way.
  • Strong accuracy skills.

It would be great if you also have

  • Experience of working within an ISO13485 Quality Management system and medical devices sold in retail pharmacy.
  • Experience working on NPD projects in complex borderline areas.
