What you'll be doing
As a People Partner at Boots UK, you will act as a trusted advisor to our Directors of Stores and Area Managers, curating the regional people plan to enable exceptional performance and customer outcomes. You'll translate business priorities into long term people solutions, building leadership capability and ensuring the region is future ready. Driving on strategic insight, you will influence business decisions, promote organisational transformation, and help position Boots as an employer of choice.
Reporting into Senior People Partner, you will:
- Business Partnering
- Partner with senior leaders to shape and deliver a forward looking people plan that enables the achievement of commercial and customer goals.
- Act as a strategic advisor, challenging and influencing leadership thinking on people decisions, capability, and culture.
- Translate business insights into actionable people priorities that build long term organisational effectiveness.
- Collaborate across the HR function to support the design of initiatives and deploy innovative, data led people solutions that enhance performance, engagement, and retention.
- Use workforce data and external insights to inform workforce planning.
- Leadership & Talent Strategy
- Shape and lead the regional talent and succession plan.
- Partner with senior leaders to identify critical roles and implement targeted development interventions that accelerate readiness.
- Champion a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous learning across the region.
- Coach and influence leaders to strengthen their people leadership effectiveness.
- Organisational Effectiveness & Change Leadership
- Lead regional change programmes, ensuring alignment with the wider business transformation agenda.
- Drive cultural and organisational effectiveness by feeding into the development of roles and capabilities to meet future business needs.
- Coach leaders through change to ensure engagement, alignment, and sustainable performance outcomes.
- Work with Head of People to assess the people impact of strategic initiatives and develop mitigation and engagement plans.

What you'll need to have (our must-haves)
- Significant experience in a HR Business Partner or strategic people role within a large, complex, or multi-site organisation.
- Connecting people strategy to business outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience in organisational design, strategic workforce planning, and cultural transformation.
- Exceptional influencing and stakeholder management skills with credibility at senior leadership level.
- Expertise across core HR disciplines with a focus on leadership development, talent management, and change.
- Analytical and insight-driven approach, able to interpret complex data and translate it into strategic action.
- Proven ability to lead through ambiguity shaping people strategies that drive future capability and performance.
