Contract: Full-time. Location: Nottingham, with very minimal nationwide travel. Closing date: 29th May 2026.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage a £1m pa budget for Boots Opticians store-based maintenance.
  • Ensure the safety of store teams and customers while minimising trading interruptions.
  • Assign and order maintenance work to contractors effectively.
  • Oversee in-year clinical equipment planning, spend, delivery, and maintenance.
  • Manage the supply chain for furniture orders.

Must-haves

  • Experience within an optical practice setting or with optical equipment.
  • Significant experience in administrative roles with a substantial financial impact.
  • Strong financial understanding and commercial acumen.
  • Proven project management experience.
  • Experience working with stores and support office teams.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently at pace.
  • Tactical thinker capable of critical analysis and delivering solutions quickly.
  • Ability to travel across the UK when needed.
