About the role:

Welcome to the Central Pharmacy Operations Team – a dynamic group at the heart of Boots Pharmacy & Healthcare business. We ensure our stores, colleagues, and business have the tools, guidance, and support needed to ensure compliance with our contractual obligations and meet our customers\’ needs across the UK.

As Pharmacy Operations Lead, reporting to the Pharmacy Operations Manager, you\’ll play a pivotal role in transforming and continuously improving pharmacy operations across Boots pharmacies with a strong focus on activity planning & communications. You\’ll be responsible for designing, implementing, and communicating operational processes that enhance service delivery, compliance, and customer experience.

Tasks and key responsibilities of the role:

  • Lead and manage transformation projects within Pharmacy Operations, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Develop and deliver clear, concise operational guidance to pharmacy teams for consistent and efficient implementation of new processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to design and refine pharmacy workflows and service models.
  • Provide data-led insights to inform decision-making, track performance, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Act as a key communication link for project updates, changes, and guidance across internal teams.
  • Support stores and field teams in embedding new processes and resolving operational challenges.
  • Continuously review, evaluate, and update existing guidance for stores to ensure relevance and accuracy.

What you\’ll need to have:

  • Experience in pharmacy operations or healthcare service delivery.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

It would be great if you also have:

  • Project management experience (desirable, not essential).
  • Demonstrated leadership and accountability.
  • A customer and colleague-focused approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Collaborative and adaptable working style.
