What you’ll be doing
This role sits in the Regulatory & Safety team, which ensures that No7BC has the right processes and tools to manage: Horizon Scanning, Chemicals/Ingredients and a framework of regulatory positions, policies and processes. This is key to enable No7BC to deliver its NPD, EPD and Innovation strategy, with minimum disruption and maximum differentiation.
As Ingredient Regulatory Advisor, you will analyse the global legislative landscape and market trends; ensuring No7BC has access to high quality, timely cosmetic chemicals expertise, backed up by robust internal chemical monitoring processes.
The Ingredient Regulatory Advisor supports our Ingredient Regulatory Manager in delivering our 3 year Horizon Scanning strategy and works with a team of global regulatory experts, working with an array of stakeholders and functions both within and external to the business.
Key responsibilities
- Leadership: Drive regulatory solutions and foster a collaborative mindset while holding accountability for agreed deliverables.
- Horizon Scanning Governance: Support the governance of Horizon Scanning within our Product Integrity function, monitoring chemical regulatory changes and leading high-quality impact analysis.
- Chemical & Ingredient Governance: Maintain processes for tracking chemical usage and product regulatory checks, updating our formulation database, and developing strong relationships with tool users.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Represent No7BC as a subject matter expert in various forums, translating complex chemical information into accessible business language.
- Chemicals Strategy: Assist the Global Chemical Manager in developing a long-term chemical strategy that aligns with our business objectives.
What you’ll need to have (our must-haves)
- At least 2 years’ experience working in a regulatory environment, preferably in cosmetics/OTC.
- A logical and enthusiastic approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to develop strong partnerships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A collaborative and curious mindset.
- Ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen.
