As an Article and Site Data Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our Commercial & Technical Services team, ensuring our data is accurate and impactful.

What You’ll Be Doing

This team holds a pivotal role in the business supporting all the UK and ROI to execute pricing and promotions to our stores. Reporting to the Pricing & Deals manager, you will be part of a team of 8 Data Specialists and 4 Best Practice Specialists. Your day to day will include:

  • Dealing with both colleague and stores queries as they arise, providing a first-class service and resolving any promotional change over deals or pricing issues.
  • You will also be responsible for building our loyalty offers supporting our Loyalty teams to interpret briefs for the Boots App, Statement mailing and our Advantage card club offers.
  • Validate all business retail price changes before they become active in store, working with other internal departments to ensure we support Trading Standards.
  • Assist in the implementation of both sales plan and non-sales plan deals averaging around 1000 deals every month.
  • Assist in the accurate implementation of retail price changes across our store portfolio, whilst ensuring that the team conduct the appropriate checks to eliminate any breach of Trading Standards.
  • Support the business to deliver any strategic pricing activity including the implementation of VAT rate changes.
  • Provide immediate end user support to Stores, Commercial Teams, Loyalty teams and Sales Plan Production Teams providing help to both process and systems queries.

What You’ll Need to Have (Our Must-Haves)

  • Extensive knowledge of SAP Retail systems, computer literate and adaptability to learn existing and new systems.
  • Highly organised, excellent short- and long-term planning, with brilliant attention to detail.
  • Proactive – passion for pace and accuracy. Able to set and manage own workload, managing conflicting priorities.
  • Able to demonstrate a proactive approach to issue resolution and have great problem-solving skills.
  • Confidence to communicate simple and complex ideas, influencing a wide-ranging audience at a variety of levels in both formal and informal settings.

It Would Be Great If You Also Have

  • Working knowledge of using Excel including using VLOOKUP’s.
  • Experience in project management.
  • A background in commercial or technical services.
