As an Operations Lead in our Central Operations team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Healthcare Development and Diagnostics at Boots.
What you’ll be doing
The Pharmacy Operations Lead plays a critical role in supporting the transformation and continuous improvement of the provision of innovative healthcare development and implementation of initiatives. This position exists to ensure the effective design, implementation, and communication of operational processes that enhance service delivery, compliance, and customer experience across Boots pharmacies. The role supports strategic business growth by enabling a robust and scalable operating platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage transformation projects within Pharmacy Operations, ensuring alignment with business goals and timely delivery.
- Develop and deliver simple, clear, concise operational guidance to pharmacy teams to ensure consistent and efficient implementation of new processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders (internal and external) to design and refine pharmacy workflows and service models.
- Provide data-led insights to inform decision-making, track performance, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Act as a key communication link for project updates, changes, and guidance across internal teams.
- Support stores and field teams in embedding new processes and resolving operational challenges.
- Ensure continuous review, evaluation and update of existing guidance for store to ensure relevance and accuracy.
What you’ll need to have (our must-haves)
- Experience in pharmacy operations or healthcare service delivery.
- Project management experience (desirable not essential).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.
It would be great if you also have
- Experience in project management and process optimisation.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
- A background in diagnostics or related fields.
