The Portfolio Management Office (PMO) is part of the IT Planning and Governance function within International Technology & Advanced Analytics (IT2A). This function is responsible for setting the standards and governing the portfolio of projects delivered within IT2A. As a PMO Co-ordinator, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting delivery teams through effective governance, enabling them to deliver high-quality services and outcomes. You'll respond to governance queries and manage the PMO Clinic as a central hub for guidance and troubleshooting. You'll work closely with PMO Analysts, Co-ordinators, and the Project Assurance team to ensure alignment with governance standards. The role also involves assisting in the coordination and preparation of governance boards. This position reports directly to the Lead PMO Manager and does not have direct reports.
What you'll need to have:
- Experience delivering PMO services or managing projects across multiple delivery teams
- Understanding of IT project delivery frameworks, governance processes, and lifecycle stages
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with confidence in supporting and presenting to senior audiences
- Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving, including advanced Excel skills
- Excellent numerical skills and a basic understanding of budgeting and financial tracking
- Ability to work collaboratively across multi-national teams and varying working arrangements
- High attention to detail and familiarity with project management documentation and reporting standards
- Experience using PPM tools and supporting users with queries or troubleshooting
It would be great if you also have:
- Experience of managing projects with a team comprised of onshore and offshore resources
- Experience of a retail organisation
- Project management qualification, e.g. APMP, Prince2, MSP
- Experience with analytics tools and applications (e.g. Power BI)
