As the Head of Premium Beauty, you will spearhead the category strategy, driving sales and profitability while managing supplier relationships and overseeing product direction and the NPD pipeline. In this full-time role, you will collaborate cross-functionally, leading your team to optimise range, pricing, and promotions to meet customer needs and market trends, ensuring Boots remains a leader in the Premium Beauty sector.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this Level 4 role, you will oversee the commercial strategy from planning to execution, focusing on brand building and sales planning. Your insight-led decision-making will respond to customer needs, making this position ideal for a commercially minded leader ready to influence at scale and drive growth in a key category within Boots.
As you lead the Premium Beauty team, you will play a pivotal role within the Beauty leadership team, shaping strategic delivery and fostering a strong Business Unit culture. Your ability to collaborate and develop a robust network across the business will enable effective delivery. You will report directly to the Beauty Director – Premium Beauty, Cosmetics & Ignite.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the commercial strategy from planning to execution, ensuring alignment with brand objectives.
- Develop and execute category strategies that balance customer needs, market trends, and business priorities.
- Manage supplier relationships, building strategic plans and overseeing key beauty Joint Business Plans (JBPs).
- Lead and develop high-performing commercial teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Utilise digital and omnichannel trading insights to drive category performance across all customer touchpoints.
- Demonstrate resilience and agility in a fast-paced environment, making confident decisions under pressure.
What You’ll Need to Have (Our Must-Haves)
- Strong commercial acumen with a deep understanding of P&L, pricing, funding, margin management, and cost control to drive profitable growth.
- Proven experience in category management, with the ability to develop and execute effective strategies.
- Expertise in supplier relationship management, particularly in building strategic partnerships.
- Strategic thinking capabilities, balancing long-term planning with responsiveness to short-term trading pressures.
- Experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong collaboration and influencing skills, effectively engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- Understanding of digital and omnichannel dynamics to enhance category performance.
