What you'll be doing
Welcome to the wonderful world of Franchise - an exciting team that plays heavily into the Boots Opticians growth plans. As established level members of the British Franchise Association we are committed to ethical franchising, and we constantly evolve to continue to meet those standards. Over the coming 3 years we expect to see significant changes in our franchise estate c100 portfolio store ownership changes. This role is an essential role that will facilitate and transact those changes. It will manage the legal negotiations process to effect those changes as well as maintaining our current estates contract renewals. Using and building relationships in the business to move transactions through to completion. Reporting to the Franchise Portfolio Manager.
Responsibilities
- Manage the legal process from board approval through to completion of the negotiate sales. All legal documentation is properly produced and processed for renewals, sales and new openings.
- Own the Precedent Agreement and Operating Manual and update this as required with our chosen legal partners.
- Responsible for generating and saving all standard letters to our franchisees.
- Maintain and own the renewals process for all our current estate.
- Build relationships and support the Support Office departments on franchise considerations for initiatives it wishes to run/change, to ensure a full understanding franchise impacts.
- Provide the field team with support to assist with Franchise Partners compliance ensuring that both the Franchise Partner's and the Franchisor's obligations are being met.
Qualifications
- Significant understanding of Franchise contracts, processes, commercial and estate contracts and processes especially in opticians.
- Comfortable in contractual negotiations.
- Ability to balance autonomy with being highly accountable and resilient.
- Build relationships and influence internally and externally.
- Keen eye for attention to detail.
