As a Formulation Technician at the No7 Beauty Company, you will play a key role in supporting the development and delivery of innovative formulation solutions that align with our Brand’s strategic plans. Working alongside our Formulation Technologists in a laboratory-based role, you will help ensure our formulations meet consumer expectations, category goals, and brand standards. Formulation technicians report directly to the Formulation Manager.

Key responsibilities:

  • Accountable for supporting the delivery of the formulation activities on the brand NPD and EPD plans.
  • Responsible for producing bulk, product samples, trial batches, packing off and conducting stability protocols.
  • Responsible for generating and recording accurate data and related administrative activities in line with processes that support product development.
  • Manages own workload and is responsible for planning and following defined protocols and procedures within development and delivery of new formulation solutions.
  • Responsible for identifying formulation technical risks and escalating to their line manager.
  • Works to required GLP standards, ensuring procedures are completed accurately to time and quality standards, following defined SOPs.
  • Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

What you’ll need to have (our must-haves):

  • BSc in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field or will have experience in the relevant technology area.
  • Ability to use technical know-how to solve problems and create solutions.
  • Ability to effectively communicate specialist technical information to a variety of audiences.
  • Setting and working within quality systems.
  • Demonstrates collaboration, flexibility in reprioritising workload and resilience.
  • Shows agility and a growth mindset.

It would be great if you also have:

  • Relevant industry lab experience, preferably 1 year.
