What you’ll be doing

As part of our Global Sourcing team, you will play a pivotal role in driving profit enhancement and cost savings through effective supplier management. You will report to the buying manager, in the 'Beauty' team, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our supply base supports innovative New Product Development (NPD).

Key responsibilities

  • Accountable for driving profit enhancement and cost savings through effective supplier management, leveraging market expertise and strong negotiation strategies.
  • Support the development and optimisation of a supply base which enables differentiated New Product Development (NPD).
  • Support the management of ongoing vendor relationships and supplier performance.
  • Lead regular supplier meetings, driving performance through improvement initiatives and strategies.
  • Support supplier selection by conducting initial research and providing informed recommendations in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

What you’ll need to have (our must-haves)

  • A strong experienced Buyer or buying experience, looking to take the next step in your sourcing career.
  • A strong cross functional player with excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of the strategic sourcing/procurement lifecycle and procurement best practices.
  • Analytical approach to data – confident using MS office, particularly Excel.

It would be great if you also have

  • Experience working with Profit & Loss (P&L) concepts, such as revenue, COGS, gross profit margin, operating expenses and cash flow with a view to identifying and delivering profit enhancement opportunities.
  • GAP Negotiation course or equivalent.
  • CIPS Qualification or MCIPS or working towards.
