What you'll be doing:
As a Business Analyst – Integration at Boots, you will play a crucial role in supporting the integrations workstream within a major HR transformation programme. Reporting to the Programme Business Analyst, the role will work closely with business stakeholders, Integration Solution Architect, HR Systems Integrator, Project Manager, and Integration Engineering teams. The role is responsible for analysing, defining and managing integration requirements required to support the implementation of HR Systems and its integration landscape. The successful candidate will have strong experience of enterprise integration projects.
The Business Analyst will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, ensuring that integration requirements are clearly understood, documented and traceable throughout the programme lifecycle.
Key responsibilities:
- Work with HR, IT, Suppliers and programme stakeholders to understand integration requirements, document data flows and interface requirements.
- Support with translation of business requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications.
- Define source-to-target mappings, interface specifications and transformation requirements.
- Support design of MuleSoft, Kafka and MFT integration patterns and document API, file-based and event-driven integration requirements.
- Ensure traceability between requirements, design, testing and deployment.
- Support integration testing, defect triage and deployment activities.
- Ensure requirements support security, GDPR and enterprise integration standards.
- Communicate complex integration concepts in business-friendly language.
What you'll need to have (our must-haves):
- Strong experience as a Business Analyst on enterprise integration programmes involving API’s, middleware, event streaming and file-based integrations.
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
- Excellent requirements elicitation, analysis, and stakeholder management skills.
- Good understanding of REST APIs, integration patterns, data mapping, message structures and interface specifications.
- Ability to produce high-quality technical requirement documentation.
- Ability to balance business requirements with technical and delivery constraints.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and drive consensus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
It would be great if you also have:
- Experience delivering large-scale HR transformation programmes.
- Familiarity with global HR deployments across multiple geographies.
- Knowledge of various IT capabilities, methods, and technologies.
