What you’ll be doing day to day
Reporting into the Category Manager, you will be at the forefront of our development, sourcing and delivering consumer brands including our own wonderful brands. You will help decide what products reach our in-store shelves. You will get to know our customer favourites, analysing data and providing great sourcing recommendations to support our global consumer and retail brand strategies. Your commercial awareness in this fast paced, and ever changing market will serve you well as you will be part of big projects with really high profile brands. Inspiring the Brand Buying team, you will always put our customers at the heart of everything you do. You will look out for new opportunities, and identify what we could be missing out on to set Boots apart from other retailers.
How will you do it?
You will love our brands and be an ambassador for them, as we work towards becoming the world’s best pharmacy led health and beauty retailer. Building really great relationships with our vendors and suppliers, you will help our customers get the best products at a really great price. Showing off your negotiation skills, you will help reduce our costs and seek out a global source for raw materials at the best possible price. With your fantastic eye for detail you will find great opportunities for our brands, working closely with the Brand Buying team, focusing on our financial targets and monitoring our progress. What you’ll need to have
We’re looking for really great people, with a friendly personality. It’s all about working together as one great team - after all it’s our people that are at the heart of our business. It’s a fantastic opportunity to add to your own development, and a chance to learn more about us as a business. It could open up even more opportunities with us. You will have lots of great experience in either sourcing or buying, or supplier management, or negotiations skills from an FMCG or other business. But it isn’t just about experience, we’re interested in seeing a bit more, the real you - and that makes us all feel good. Just to let you know, sometimes you will need travel within the UK or internationally.
