About the role
This role is accountable for leading the production and delivery of all merchandising POS landing in stores as part of the Merchandising Activity Plan (MAP) including CRP, Trials, and Initiatives. This role is responsible for the continuous improvement of BAU processes and also, plays the key role to own and create any execution plans to support right first β time delivery into stores i.e. Executional planning of projects optimised to initiate to rollout or into BAU.
Key responsibilities
- End to end delivery of all Merchandising POS to Global Merchandising Principles right first time on time and executed through the agreed process and channels i.e. POS artwork production to template
- Manage POS critical paths and costs in line with project plans and managing stakeholder expectations
- Responsible for the creation and management of Flo approval of all artworks into the print production process for delivery into stores, in accordance to timescales of the CPA and meeting the category budget
- Responsible for being the brand / supplier consult to manage artwork approvals for all third party trays. Feedback is submitted concisely and within a time appropriate window (bespoke to each project / MAP activity, including CRP) to avoid any unnecessary delays for sign off to deadline, incorporating PML and Legal where appropriate.
- Ensuring all POS is cohesive in context of the total build as part of MSR review for MAP (including CRP) and all projects. Plays a key role to optimise this process to enable in person sign off
- Work with and manage our design agencies (for asset management) and production & print agency to produce and deliver Merchandising showmaterial into stores as per the ISM / ISE creative guidance β upholding the principles across each project that land in store
- Twice weekly progress check ins for all WIP projects, upholding the CPA / identify where further support or escalation is required, and lead this internally, keeping key stakeholders up to date on any challenges
- Support in transferring trial/initiative to BAU where needed
- Integral to support development of snagging and optimising how we lead any Merchandising POS challenges that arise, including how progress is monitored and shared back with the business as the accountable team to reach resolution.
What you\βll need to have

- Ability to manage multiple projects which may well overlap and be running to different timescales, including keeping stakeholders informed of progress and making them aware of any issues

- The ability to build and maintain relationships with a variety of different stakeholders at all levels
- Be able to embrace and positively react to change
- Use your leadership behaviours to manage the end to end POS Production process
- Have the confidence to share your expertise with a variety of stakeholders, and the ability to discuss and understand the views of others
- Develop an in depth understanding of the impacts to missed deadlines, both within Support Office and at store level, and use this to influence stakeholders effectively and mitigate risk / initiate a reactive plan for resolution
- Confident to challenge ways of working with a continuous drive for improvement
It would be great if you also have
- Strong computer skills, Excel, would be an advantage
- Store experience, with basic understanding of the different planner families at Boots, as well as some knowledge on our existing kit of parts menu
- Knowledge of support office processes within Merchandising
