The Solution Architect will lead the end-to-end solution design for a major HR transformation programme. This role is responsible for defining the target architecture, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and guiding the implementation of HR platform modules such as Core HR, Talent, Payroll, Absence, Recruitment, and Learning. The architect will act as the primary design authority, partnering with HR, IT, and implementation partners to deliver a scalable, secure, and future-proof solution.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own the overall HR platform architecture, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and transformation goals.
- Translate business requirements into robust, integrated, and compliant solution designs.
- Lead the creation of end-to-end process flows, data models, and security frameworks.
- Define configuration standards, design principles, and architectural guardrails for the project.
- Act as the primary design authority, collaborating with HR, IT, and implementation partners.
- Ensure that the solution developed is true to the agreed design throughout the project lifecycle.
- Impact assess proposed design changes throughout the delivery life cycle to ensure that the objectives and requirements of the project are still met.
- Oversee API usage, middleware patterns, and data exchange protocols.
- Ensure compliance with security, GDPR, and organisational data governance policies.
- Advise on testing of non-functional, operational and technical requirements, review results and assist with analysing and resolving defects where required.
- Assist the Project Manager and Technical Lead to resolve technical issues arising on the project promptly to keep the project on track.
- Manage relationships with the vendor, SI partners, and third-party vendors.
Requirements
- Proven experience in delivering large Oracle HCM Cloud or Workday implementations in a Solution Architect or Lead Consultant role.
- Deep knowledge of at least three Oracle HCM and/or Workday modules with a broad understanding across the full suite.
- Strong understanding of HR platform data models, integrations, reporting tools, workflows and approvals and data migration tools/methodologies.
- Proven experience defining target operating models, solution blueprints, and integration architectures.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles and SaaS implementation best practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence senior leaders and drive consensus in fast-paced environments.

- Oracle Cloud HCM or Workday certification.
- Experience with global HR deployments across multiple geographies.
- Background in HR process optimisation or HR technology strategy.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.
