Our Regulatory Manager Ingredients is a key part of the Regulatory team in No7 Beauty Company. This role sits in the Regulatory Governance team, which ensures that No7BC has the right processes and tools to manage: Horizon Scanning, Chemicals and a framework of regulatory positions, policies and processes. This is key to enable No7BC to deliver its NPD, EPD and Innovation strategy, with minimum disruption and maximum differentiation.
As Regulatory Manager Ingredients you will lead a team to deliver analysis of the global legislative landscape and market trends; ensuring No7BC has access to high quality, timely cosmetic chemicals expertise, backed up by robust internal chemical monitoring processes. You will also be the strategic lead to deliver our Horizon Scanning strategy and work with a team of global regulatory experts, as well as with an array of stakeholders and functions both within and external to the business.
Key responsibilities- Chemical & Ingredient Governance: Accountable for maintaining processes, tracking chemical usage and product regulatory checks across our portfolio, such as updating our formulation database, approving new chemicals and raw materials, maintaining our regulatory checking tools and developing strong relationships with tool users to support with any queries that may arise in a timely way. Responsible for chemicals reporting in the UK & EU as well as Governance in reporting in Global markets.
- Chemicals Strategy: Accountable for developing a long‐term chemical strategy that enables timely ingredient choices that align with the business objectives of each brand of the No7 Beauty Company, as well as product futureproofing, protecting the consumer, the environment, and brand & business equity.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Accountable for representing No7BC as SME in various forums internally and externally with our multiple trade bodies and technical partners, ensuring the right input and influence to protect and grow No7BC's business.
- Horizon Scanning Governance: Accountable for supporting the governance of Horizon Scanning and accountable for monitoring chemical regulatory changes across a broad array of channels. Accountable for ensuring the delivery of high‐quality impact analysis and drive escalation where appropriate.
- Leadership: Accountable for leading, developing and managing the Ingredients Regulatory Advisors. Responsible for driving regulatory solutions and fostering a collaborative mindset while holding accountability on agreed deliverables.
What you'll need to have
- Senior experience working in a regulatory environment preferably cosmetic/OTC
- Science degree in a Chemistry‐related subject.
- Communication and network building skills
