An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Pharmacy Operations Field Team in Region 1 in the role of Pharmacy Support Manager (PSM). You will be part of the team of PSM’s who support our Store Leaders, Pharmacists and Area managers to ensure our pharmacies deliver an efficient and profitable pharmacy business and lead for innovation in our stores. This role is a 6-month secondment within R1 Scotland. You will be PSM covering the North of Scotland. You must be flexible enough to flow to the work across the region should the need arise.
Reporting directly into the Regional Pharmacy Operations Manager (RPOM), you will act with pace to ensure that our pharmacies are working efficiently and effectively to ensure a flawless patient experience in every store.
What you’ll be doing
As a Pharmacy Support Manager within our Central Operations team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our pharmacy services run smoothly and efficiently. You will report to Jacqueline Devlin and lead a dedicated team, driving operational excellence and supporting our mission to provide outstanding healthcare services.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
- Lead and develop a team of pharmacy staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and support.
- Implement strategies to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise pharmacy processes.
What you’ll need to have (our must-haves)
- Proven experience in pharmacy operations or management.
- Registered Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician.
- 3 years community pharmacy experience.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality service and care.
It would be great if you also have
- Experience in a retail pharmacy environment.
- Knowledge of pharmacy regulations and compliance standards.
- Proficient use of IT including MS Teams & Powerpoint.
